Psalm 23:1-3

The LORD is my shepherd;

I shall not want.

He makes me to lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside the still waters.

He restores my soul;

He leads me in the path of righteousness

For His name’s sake.

From Above, Abba God sees Yeshua, His Son as the Good Shepherd that leads His sheep to where can find abundant life and sustenance. He never drives us but gently leads us in the way that we should go.  In our lives, sometimes we may feel that we are going  around a hill in circles like a sheep, and perhaps we think we are going nowhere. However when we place our trust in Yeshua, our Shepherd who laid down His life for us, we know that He is always taking us to a higher level of peace and joy.  And at the top of the mountain, we learn to hope in Him alone. 

Psalm 71:5

For You are my hope (tikvah), O Lord God; You are my trust from my youth.

Romans 5:5

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
